Richard McCluskey
Richard McCluskey, CEO/CTO and Co-Founder

Richard has been programming for almost 25 years, having first started with Commodores and ZX81s in the early 80's. Although he started his career successfully in sales (UK textile industry), he found his progress hampered by the inadequacy of the office systems to output useful information and sales demographics. It was attacking this problem that changed Richard's career path, and the rest is history.

After moving out of sales, and the textile industry, Richard worked for UK companies such as SAS Software, and Kingfisher PLC, before taking a sabbatical and eventually emigrating to America.
Richard first came into contact with payment processing systems whilst CTO at end70 Corporation in Irvine CA, at the start of the late nineties Internet boom. End70 Corp was a reseller of CardService Intl. merchant accounts, and over the next two years developed a direct to consumer on-line model for the acquisition of merchant accounts and digital payment processing systems.
When the 'dot com' boom collapsed Richard formed his own technology consultancy company, BlueSage Visions LLC. Since then he has developed custom CMS systems, payment systems, social networking systems and all manner of web technologies for companies such as Cost.com, daycare.com, and non-profit organizations such as ednf.org and charityfinders.com. Richard met Larry Heller while working for doing work for MusicResearch Consultants.

It is Richard's passion for security, technology's bleeding edge, and open source software that enabled him to develop the MySongStore widget, a tightly integrated suite of applications that allow individual website owners to process credit cards direct from their own website via 'cut and paste' implementation rather than having the customers be taken to a payment gateway.
An avid Linux supporter, and prototyper, it is Richard's approach to software development, and attention to scaling details, that have allowed MySongStore to remain in the forefront of digital payment technology.

As a musician, Richard has won 3 LA Music Awards, two with his old band Stirling Brig for which he received 'Rock Album of the Year 2000', and 'Rock artist of the year 2001', and 'International Songs of Peace Award' in 2004 with his new project H.E.L.P. Richard's weapons of choice are his 1935 0017 Martin Acoustic, a self-build custom 'tele' styled electric guitar, a Fender Princeton, and a souped up HP laptop running Ubuntu Linux. Richard lives and works in Boston, Massachusettes
