Why cant I put the MySongStore Widget on MySpace and sell my music there?

MySpace is a commercial enterprise, owned by News Corp., dedicated to keeping MySpace users on their site. They recently launched MySpace Music, which, while directed towards the major labels, also allows MySpace bands to sell their music only on MySpace. Consequently, they have blocked MySongStore Widget from working on their site, and have declared it is illegal to sell music from their site through any service other than MySpace (see the MySpace Terms and Conditions section 8.29). In a way, we dont blame them. It is a lot like Macys wanting to put a store in Bloomingdales. It will never happen
MySpace Music does not work on a musician's site, or any others outside of MySpace.
So how can you reach your fans directly? The solution is to put MySongStore Widget on your own web site or blog pages, and then direct fans and friends from all across the Internet there to hear and buy your music. If you dont have one, we at MySongStore.com will be happy to make the referral to recommended free or low cost web site and blog creators, and Internet service providers.
